International Kite Festival is the biggest annual kite festival in Malaysia
and being considered one of the extravagant kite festival in ASEAN. I was there for the last two days of the kite festival under the Malacca Kite Flier's Association. As usual, Peter Lynn's Inflatables was the main attraction for the kite festival. There were too other inflatables, like the shark, King Tut, the Malacca Team's Daisy the Ray, and many others that made the festival a success. The team from Japan brought their giant 'rokkaku' (not sure what it is called). A buggy display by Roger Martin and a Rokkaku war comp. There were also the 'wau' (local Malaysian Kite) competition. Local fliers from all the states in Malaysia took part to make the festival a success. Sports kiting was also not in the lost in this festival, there were many new quad-kites for example, Leong Chee Wan's Bat Quad, Steve from Singapore/Terengganu Bird Quad. Well I'll be looking forward for the next year's festival!
