Pasir Gudang International Kite Festival 2003

The annual Pasir Gudang Kite Festival is the biggest Kiting event in Malaysia, and every fliers in Malaysia is looking forward for the festival.

As usual the festival is flooded with international fliers from Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Europe and from the States. The wind was superb on the two days I was there. Johor's Peter Lynn made kites are the main attraction for the event. Lodging and food is not a problem at the festival where fliers are given 1st class treatment. Salute to the Johor's Kite Association for making the event a success. This year, making the impact are, sports kiters from Malaysia (freestyle, traction fliers were as good as their European counterpart) and also the Malacca (Skyriders) Team for bringing their first made in Malaysia inflatable though it was much smaller then the Peter Lynn's Ray, but Malaysia Boleh!
