This page is dedicated to friends of music from the middle-ages and renaissance. As a music teacher I found interest in the very early documents of music and wanted to get deeper involved with them. So I founded an early music group, built some early music instruments after plans and hints from specialists, began to transcribe music from renaissance facsimiles to get this ancient music into a form, everybody can read today and learned to play a range of renaissance wind and string instruments. At last I began with help of Medelike Consort to organize and lead early music summer schools in a monastery near Vienna.
is an early music group, that has specialized in music from middle-ages and renaissance. Visit this page to look for further information about Medelike Consort, hear their music, see their instruments, let you inform about the CD and the next concerts.
Here you can see a list of facsimiles and prints available from original manuscripts or prints and some pictures of the originals.
The Medelike Consort organizes summercourses for music of middle ages and renaissance every year since 1985. The courses take place in the last week of July in a monastery 20km south west from Vienna. Every year the summer course focusses on a special topic of early music, e.g. spanish music of the renaissance, dance music, music by Orlando di Lasso, music at the Austrian court, sacred music and many more. See more information about the upcoming course 1998.
