Structure
You can imagine this website similar as a book (those colored paper bricks your parents used to put on shelves to collect dust): There is a cover, the actual content and -in order find your way through it- a table of contents. To complete it, there even is a preface, which you are currently reading. :-)
Most of the pages are available in German and English (at least I've tried hard to use these languages halfway understandable). Therefore there are two tables of contents, one in English and one in German.
At the bottom of each page you will find a bar with links to the corresponding page written in the other language (if there is one) and to the two table of contents pages as well. This way you can quickly jump back to the starting point at every time.

Updates
Like any alive homepage also this one is permanently changed and expanded. I will announce major changes here in both newsgroups rec.kites and maus.freizeit.kites so you don't have to stop by daily in order to see if there's something new.
Of course I'm glad about each and every visitor, who stays here for a little while! For what should I do all this to me otherwise? :-)
Therefore please don't hesitate to put a link to Fredl's Kite Site (<-save it as a bookmark right now!) into your own pages. If you do that please let me know.

What it's all about
The main topics on my pages will cover everything that has to do with kiting in Austria (especially flying steerable kites in and around Vienna). I build and fly dual line kites since a few years now and since 1997 I participate at regional competitions. The topics on this website will be reflecting this. But I'm always interested in new ideas and suggestions for improvement!
