First Sport Kites Team of Argentina

Founded on February 2000

After their attending at the 2006 World Championship, three of the four members of the team decided not compete anymore in World Championships. It was enough work, sacrifice and pressure.

Eight months later, during the 2006 Fiesta del Viento Kite Festival, on December 3th, even they did not know it, it was the last time El Fabuloso Team flew togheter, after 6 year of non interrupted flying.

In February 2007, Ariel Ballerini (#2) anounced that he will not fly anymore. Fabián and Ezequiel Fernández (father and son, #3 and #4) decided to follow their own way, joining the two little Fernández brothers in a new family team. LAlo Loescher, founder and captain of the team, was then the only member of the team.

There were experiences, there were the emotions of competing in two World Championships representing Argentina. The road for the next ones was seeded. It was a hard job.

Maybe someday some old members of El Fabuloso Team will join again to remember the first steps times.

This website will be frozen as it is as witness of all the job done.

We are the first team of Stunt Kites of Argentina, founded on January 2000. During four years we were the only organized team of our country. Fortunately there are new teams being born now in Buenos Aires and Rosario city.
We have created this page to help to diffuse this sport in Argentina and to be known in the entire world.
We fly in the Paseo de la Costa, Aristóbulo del Valle Street and the coast of the Río de la Plata river, Vicente López, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Our trainings are usually on Saturday, 2 to 6 pm, but we meet also during the week.
The team is compound of:
The Competition Team: oriented to demonstrations and competition.
The Team Tropita: two children, 10 y 12 years old, making their first steps in team flight as a pair.
Our intentions are to promote this flight modality, to achieve quantity increasing of pilots, teams and flight places, so to be able to have competitions, to learn and get to participate in international competitions organized by WSKC, the association that manages this sport.
We have competed at the 2004 World Team Sport Kite Championship, Berck sur Mer, France, April 17 to 25, 2004 (Read at Berck sur Mer 2004 our report of the trip to France and see the pictures).
