The event was the main village Millennium celebration event. It was held on Sunday 13^th August

When we 'started' in the afternoon the weather, unlike at the Spring fun day, was atrocious. Force 5 - 6 winds with thunder and lightning, hardly the weather for a kite day. We persevered and were rewarded with some excellent flying and when it did rain we just adjourned to the marquee for a few beers and wait for the weather to improve. Whilst this was going on Sparky 'T' Clown did a sterling job of entertaining both kids and adults alike.
