How to find us As you can see from the map we are on the South West corner of the Island and to get to our field is very straight forward. From Ryde: This one is slightly more difficult as if you arrive at Ryde you will probably arrived on the Island as a foot passenger so this means using public transport. Simply get any bus to Newport Bus Station, they generally run every half an hour or so, and then get a bus to Chale, these are a lot less frequent so watch you return time. From Fishbourne car ferry: Turn right out of the fery terminal and follow the road to the traffic lights and turn right again, signposted Newport. Once in Newport follow the signs for Ventnor until you get to Rookley and then follow the signs for Niton/Chale. You will go across Bleak Down, at the bottom of the hill, cross roads, turn right and follow that road all the way through Chale Green until you come to St Andrew's Church then turn right and the field is approx 100m down the Military Road on the seaward side. |

From East Cowes car ferry: Follow the signs for Newport and then the same directions as above (Fishbourne) From Yarmouth car ferry: As you come out of the ferry terminal turn right and follow this road unitl you get to Colwell. Once you go past Colwell Green you will come to a roundabout, turn left, signposted Freshwater. Go through the village until you get the Co-Op and follow the signs for Afton/Military Road. When you get to the end of the road, at Freshwater Bay, turn left and follow the Military Road, the most scenic road on the Island. We are at the far end, you can't miss the field as it is the only recration ground that you will see. |
