Summer Fun Day

This year's summer fun day will be a combination event. There will be a carboot sale in one corner of the field, The Island's metal detector club in another and the rest of the field will be given over to kiting.

We hope to organise a series of 'kite games', mainly for the benfit of the kids but adults won't be excluded in anyway. This will not be a festival as such more along the lines of the rest of our events, very informal, everybody flying and talking together. We will, of course, define an area for buggying but that is about all. From past experience this sort of format works reasonably well.

For the metal detector club we have buried 30 'pieces of gold' somewhere on the field, we can't remeber where. All we do know is that they are buried in the 'fallow' area well away from the kites.
